Nuggets: The World's Largest Weblog
About.com has relaunched all their sites using the MoveableType weblog publishing platform. There are 400 sites in the network and this development is significant because, according to this article, it's likely the single largest addition of content to the blogoshere and all the sites are advertiser supported lending another proof point to the idea that advertiser supported weblogs are not just a pipe dream.
You could argue that this isn't news and that it's just another publishing platform with the same content. Maybe so. But can anyone tell me how much money About spent to manage all its sites before moving to weblog software and how much they pay now? That would be news, wouldn't it?
