ABC News videos, including exclusive interviews and raw footage, are now available on Apple's iTunes.
Disney-ABC Television Group is offering for sale three categories of original content on iTunes - "ABC News Specials," "The Day it Happened" and "Celebrity Flashback" - writes MediaWeek. The downloads are $1.99 each. The material (iTunes link) will include important news events, such the Kennedy Assassination and the fall of the Berlin Wall, as well as footage of celebrities, such as the Rolling Stones and Grace Kelly.
"We've had a tremendous response to our World News Tonight podcasts, and with this new iTunes offering, we continue to provide what content consumers want and have grown to expect from ABC News," David Westin, ABC News president, is quoted as saying.
NBC and CNN began selling TV news footage on iTunes earlier this year, points out Micro Persuasion.
