ABC Teams With Facebook for Election Coverage

Land of the free

Facebook is partnering with ABC News for coverage of the 2008 election cycle, reports The New York Times.

Facebook allow members to follow campaign trail reports and coverage from ABC reporters. All this, as well as polls members can take, will be housed in a new politically-themed section on the social network.

The pair will be sponsoring two debates, one with the Republican presidential candidates and one with the Democratic candidates, in New Hampshire just days before that state's primary election.

ABC entered into the partnership to interact more with the Facebook user base and facilitate (in a branded sort of way) conversations and debates already happening with members there.

Facebook has already entered into campaign-related partnerships with The Washington Post and Slate.
