Now Lost users will be Stuck
Disney programs will be available on-demand through Cox Communications as a result of a partnership between the two, reports CNET.
Programming from ABC and ESPN will be available free to Cox cable subscribers. But, banking on the philosophy that free lunches don't exist, Cox has in exchange disabled fast-forwarding in the programs, meaning viewers must watch them straight through.
Programs like ABC's Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy, and football games from ESPN, will be available the day after they air. The two companies will also be testing new technology that allows for geo-targeted ad insertion.
