83 Million Will Buy $120 Billion of Online Goods in 2004

NYT: Broad gains in online shopping

About two thirds of Internet users shop online, and they'll spend about $120 billion this year doing so, according to a new Pew study. Four years ago, only 36 million online users had purchased something online, far fewer than the 83 million people who've done so now.
