Yahoo to Reorg for Fourth Time in Two Years

Yesterday Yahoo announced plans to reorganize.

Pending internet offerings shall be expedited, and audience share and company management will also be improved.

Talk of a company revamp swirled when a number of Yahoo resigned in the past several weeks.

CEO Jerry Yang and President Sue Decker will continue to crown the house of cards, reports MediaPost. Three teams will report to Decker:

  • Audience products, led by Ash Patel, former head of platforms and infrastructure
  • Regional (US), led by Hilary Schneider, ex-head of global partner solutions
  • Insights strategy — which will launch company-wide strategy for using data and analytics. It does not yet have a division head

Changes to Yahoo's technology department will also be made. This marks the company's fourth reorganization since November 2006.
