1Cast has signed deals to distribute content from Dow Jones and Bloomberg on its website and mobile applications.
The aggregator already has deals with the Associated Press, CNBC and Reuters, as well as international organizations Agence France-Presse and the CBC, reports MediaBuyerPlanner.
1Cast aspires to become a hub of online news video, offering a single destination where users can establish profiles and build their own news feeds, according to Adweek.
The Dow Jones content includes the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, which encompasses WSJ.com, MarketWatch.com, Barrons.com and AllThingsD.com.
"Consumers are clearly interested in easily accessing and viewing a broad spectrum of news programming and consuming it on their terms, whenever they want and wherever they are," said Anthony Bontrager, president of 1Cast. "As the leading single source of free, near real-time video news programming from some of the world’s most respected news organizations, 1Cast helps consumers quickly and easily find and enjoy the news that matters to them most."
1Cast sells mid-roll, overlay video ads and banner placements for its partners.
1Cast also recently launched mobile applications for the Google Android platform, and for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch.
